What a blender actually costs in Bangladesh right now
The blender price in Bangladesh runs from ৳ 1,800 to ৳ 20,500 across the 72 models listed above. Most people are stuck on one question: is a ৳ 6,000 mixer grinder enough, or is the ৳ 12,000 one genuinely twice the machine?
Usually it is not. The jump from ৳ 3,000 to ৳ 6,000 buys a real difference in motor and jar quality. The jump from ৳ 6,000 to ৳ 12,000 mostly buys extra jars, a juicer attachment and a longer warranty. This page tells you which jump is worth making for the way you cook.
Blender and mixer grinder price in Bangladesh by band
Four bands cover the whole category. The middle two hold 47 of the 72 models, which is where most households end up.
| Price band | What you get | Suits | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| ৳ 1,800 – ৳ 3,999 | Single job, one jar or one attachment. Hand mixers, choppers, small grinders | Bachelors, hostel rooms, a second appliance for baking | Sokany SK-6632 5-speed hand mixer at ৳ 1,800 |
| ৳ 4,000 – ৳ 7,499 | 500W–850W, two or three stainless steel jars, wet and dry grinding | Families of three to five cooking daily. The sweet spot | Havells Momenta NV 750W with SS-304 blades at ৳ 6,000 |
| ৳ 7,500 – ৳ 11,999 | 750W–1000W, three or four jars, often a juicer jar and better bearings | Heavy masala grinding, larger families, longer daily use | Panasonic MX-GC3550 900W with three jars at ৳ 8,500 |
| ৳ 12,000 – ৳ 20,500 | 1000W–1800W, four or five jars, stand mixers, commercial-grade grinders | Serious home bakers, tiffin businesses, small cafés | Panasonic MX-AV325 1500W heavy duty mixer grinder at ৳ 12,000 |
The specs that actually change your decision
Five things separate a machine that lasts eight years from one that burns out in eighteen months. Everything else on a spec sheet is noise.
Motor wattage
450W handles smoothies, soft fruit and light batter. 750W is the floor for grinding dry turmeric, coriander seed or whole spices without the motor labouring. Above 1000W you are buying for volume, not difficulty — a 1500W motor does not grind finer, it grinds more at once before heating up.
What this means for you: if you grind masala more than twice a week, do not go below 750W. If you mostly blend juice and shakes, 450W to 600W saves money and shelf space.
Suggested product
Bajaj DLX 230 Twister Deluxe 750 watt mixer grinder — ৳ 6,200
Jar material
Stainless steel jars survive hot ingredients, do not stain from turmeric and do not craze. Polycarbonate jars let you see what is happening and weigh less, which matters if you lift the jar one-handed. Plastic jars at the bottom of the market discolour within a year of daily masala use.
What this means for you: look for SS-304 grade specifically. Ordinary steel jars pit where salt and acid sit, and pitting is where smells start.
Suggested product
Philips HL7756/01 750W with 3 stainless steel jars — ৳ 10,850
How many jars
Two jars means washing up between the chutney and the batter. Three is the practical minimum for a kitchen that grinds wet and dry on the same day: a large blending jar, a dry grinding jar with a flat blade, and a small chutney jar. The fourth jar is usually a juicer or fruit-filter attachment.
What this means for you: count the jars you will actually wash. A fourth jar you use twice a year is ৳ 1,500 of cupboard space.
Suggested product
Orient Accord 750 watt mixer grinder and juicer with 4 jars — ৳ 7,499
Jar capacity
A 1.5 litre main jar suits a family of four — that is roughly four glasses of lassi or one full batch of dosa batter in two runs. A 2 litre jar suits six or more, or anyone making iftar drinks in bulk. Personal blenders at 0.6 litre make one serving and nothing larger.
What this means for you: a jar only blends well when it is between one third and two thirds full, so size for your normal batch, not your largest one.
Suggested product
Miyako BL-69TRIP 2.0L commercial multi-functional blender — ৳ 10,800
Jug blender or hand blender
A hand blender goes into the pot, so hot soup and daal never get transferred. It is faster to wash, stores in a drawer and is the better tool for baby food and small quantities. It cannot grind dry spice and it cannot crush ice properly, whatever the box claims.
What this means for you: most kitchens here want a jug-style mixer grinder as the main machine and a hand blender as the ৳ 4,500 supporting act, not the reverse.
Suggested product
Copper or aluminium windings
Motor windings are copper or aluminium, and the listing does not always say which. Copper carries more current for its size, runs cooler and tolerates the voltage swings common on Bangladeshi mains. Aluminium is cheaper and lighter, and it is why two machines with the same 750W badge can differ by ৳ 3,000.
What this means for you: when a product title states a copper motor, that is a real durability claim and worth paying for. When wattage is the only figure given, treat the price gap as your clue.

Which brands dominate blenders and grinders in Bangladesh
Four brands account for 45 of the 72 models here. None of them leads everywhere — each is strong in a specific part of the range, and the honest version is below.
| Brand | Models | Strongest at | Weaker at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Philips mixer grinders in Bangladesh | 16 | Widest spread of any brand here — hand blenders, hand mixers, juicers and three- and four-jar grinders | Nothing under ৳ 4,500; you pay for the name at the entry end |
| Panasonic mixer grinder range | 12 | The high-wattage end. 1500W heavy-duty grinders and the only stand mixer in the category | Concentrated above ৳ 8,000, so little for a first appliance |
| Havells mixer grinder price range | 9 | Value in the ৳ 6,000–৳ 9,000 band, and the most consistent use of SS-304 blades | No hand blenders or hand mixers at all |
| Miyako blender price in Bangladesh | 8 | The cheapest way into the category, plus meat grinders and egg beaters others skip | Fewer stainless steel jars; more plastic at the low end |
| Bajaj mixer grinders, Jaipan kitchen grinders, Orient | 9 combined | Indian-market engineering built for masala, at ৳ 5,200–৳ 7,499 | Thinner service coverage outside Dhaka than Philips or Panasonic |
| Gazi blenders, Sharp, Sokany, Atashii | 8 combined | Simple single-jar blenders and choppers under ৳ 4,000 | Not built for daily dry grinding; treat them as light-duty |

Buying and owning a blender in Bangladesh
This is where a spec sheet stops helping. These four things decide whether your machine lasts, and none of them appear on the box.
Voltage swings and whether you need a stabiliser
Mains supply here is nominally 220V but routinely sags in the evening peak and spikes when a line is restored. A motor running under-voltage draws more current to hold its speed, and that is what cooks the windings. Most mixer grinders under 1000W tolerate this, but if your area browns out visibly — lights dimming when the fridge starts — a 500VA to 1000VA stabiliser costs far less than a replacement motor.
Machines sold for the Indian market run on the same 230V standard, so an Indian-specification unit is electrically fine here. The question is warranty, not voltage.
Load shedding, IPS and inverters
A typical home IPS is sized for fans, lights and a router — somewhere between 600VA and 1200VA. A 750W mixer grinder draws close to its full rating the moment the blades meet resistance, and the start-up surge is higher still. Running one off a modest IPS will usually trip it, and a modified sine wave output makes universal motors run hot and noisy.
The practical answer is to grind before or after the outage, not during it. If you must run a motor on backup, a pure sine wave inverter rated at least double the appliance wattage is the only safe configuration.
Warranty, and what it does not cover
Warranty on this category is usually split: a longer term on the motor and a shorter one on the body and switchgear. Jars, blades, gaskets, couplers and the plastic drive gear are consumables and are almost never covered — and the coupler is the single most common part to fail. Ask which term applies to which part before you buy, not after.
International brands maintain authorised service points in Dhaka and Chattogram; coverage outside those two cities is thinner for every brand, and thinnest for the Indian mid-market names. If you live outside a divisional city, a brand with a wide dealer network matters more than 200W of extra motor. Buying through an authorised channel is what makes the official warranty valid — a grey-market unit at ৳ 800 less carries no claim at all.
Humidity, spares and how long you can run it
Monsoon humidity clumps dry spice and makes it stick to the jar wall, so grind in smaller batches between June and September and dry-roast whole spices first. Store the machine with jars removed and the lids off; sealed damp jars grow smells.
Domestic grinders are rated for short bursts, not continuous work. A safe rule is a maximum of two minutes running, then two minutes off, and never more than three cycles back to back. Ignoring this is the most common reason motors burn out here, well ahead of any manufacturing fault. Replacement jars and couplers for the major brands are sold separately — check small kitchen appliance parts and accessories before you write off a working motor. Payment by bKash, Nagad, card or cash on delivery is standard, and EMI is available on higher-value appliances.
Seven mistakes people make buying a mixer grinder
Buying wattage instead of build
A 1000W machine with aluminium windings and a plastic coupler will die before a well-made 750W one. Wattage is the easiest number to print and the least reliable on its own.
Expecting one jar to do everything
Wet grinding and dry grinding need different blade geometry. Grinding dry spice in a wet jar gives you coarse, uneven powder and blunts the blade.
Running it until it stops
Two minutes on, two minutes off. Most burnt motors in Bangladeshi kitchens are killed by one long grinding session, not by age.
Overfilling the jar
Past two thirds full, ingredients stop circulating and ride above the blade. You get an unblended top layer and a straining motor.
Ignoring the warranty split
"Two year warranty" often means two years on the motor and one on everything else. The parts that break first are usually the ones excluded.
Buying a jug blender for soup
Pouring hot daal into a sealed jar builds steam pressure and can blow the lid. A stick blender in the pot is the right tool — see hand blenders in Bangladesh.
Chasing the grey-market discount
An unofficial unit saves a few hundred taka and voids the service claim entirely. On an appliance whose motor is the whole value, that is a bad trade.
Blender price in Bangladesh — your questions answered
What is the lowest blender price in Bangladesh right now?
The lowest price in this category is ৳ 1,800 for a five-speed hand mixer, and the entry point for a jug-style blender is ৳ 3,000. Below roughly ৳ 2,000 you are looking at manual or novelty products rather than appliances built for daily kitchen work. The full range here runs to ৳ 20,500.
How many watts should a blender be for home use?
For juice, shakes and soft fruit, 450W to 600W is enough. For grinding dry spice, lentils or coffee, 750W is the sensible floor and the most common rating in this category. Anything above 1000W is about grinding larger quantities before the motor heats, not about grinding finer.
Do I need a voltage stabiliser for a mixer grinder?
Not usually, if your supply is steady. If lights visibly dim when other appliances start, or your area has frequent brownouts, a 500VA to 1000VA stabiliser is worth it. Under-voltage makes the motor draw extra current, and that heat is what shortens winding life over a few years.
Can I run a blender on IPS during load shedding?
Usually not. A 750W grinder plus its start-up surge exceeds what a typical 600VA to 1200VA home IPS can supply, so it trips. Modified sine wave output also makes these motors run hot. Grind before or after the outage, or use a pure sine wave inverter rated at least twice the appliance wattage.
How long can I run a mixer grinder continuously?
Treat two minutes as the limit for one run, then rest it for two minutes before the next. Three cycles back to back is plenty for any household batch. Domestic motors are designed for short bursts, and continuous running is the single most common cause of burnt-out grinders in Bangladesh.
What is the difference between a wet and a dry grinding jar?
A wet jar has a curved blade that pulls liquid down into a vortex, for chutney, batter and paste. A dry jar has a flatter, blunter blade that shatters hard material into powder, for turmeric, coriander or coffee. Using the wrong one gives uneven results and dulls the blade faster.
Can a hand blender crush ice?
No, and trying will chip the blade or bend the shaft. Hand blenders are built for soft food already suspended in liquid — soup, daal, baby food, smoothies made with soft fruit. For ice you need a jug blender with a heavy jar and a purpose-shaped ice-crushing blade.
Can I buy a replacement jar separately?
For the major brands, yes — jars, couplers, gaskets and blades are sold as spares, and a cracked jar is rarely a reason to replace a healthy motor. Availability is best for Philips, Panasonic and Havells. Check the parts listings, and confirm the model number matches exactly, since jars are not interchangeable across ranges.
Narrow it down from here
Set the price filter above to ৳ 4,000–৳ 7,499 to see the 25 models most families buy, then filter by brand to compare like for like. If you only need to blend soft food in the pot, the choppers and mini food processors range may suit you better, and a food processor handles slicing and dough that no grinder will. Building a kitchen from scratch? Start with the wider electric kettles range and work outwards.
