HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10 (G10) Server - System Overview
RAM 16x2=32GB, HDD 2.5” SAS 600x2=1200Gb
The HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10 server is a 1U entry-level platform that can support two Intel Xeon Scalable processors from either the Bronze or Silver families. It supports up to 256GB of memory with substantial storage up front from either SFF or LFF drives. This is a "Right-Sized" server offering just the right balance of compute, efficiency, and capacity managed by HPE’s integrated Lights Out (iLO) module.
With the addition of Intel Xeon Scalable processors, the HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10 Server delivers 71% increase in performance plus a 27% increase in core count compared to the previous generation Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 processors. Scalable processors also support two more memory channels at 6 per processor, compared to just four on the previous generation, increasing memory bandwidth and application performance. The HPE DL160 Gen10 can be used to support small to medium sized businesses with mid-level virtualization.
HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10 Server detail
With the HPE ProLiant DL160 Gen10 server’s just-right size this system supports a maximum of 256GB of memory using either two Silver 4110 processors or two Bronze 3106 processors. Power is provided by either a cabled PSU or dual hot-swap power supplies.
Each processor supports up to eight memory modules in six memory channels. Four of those channels support a single memory module and the remaining two memory channels support two memory modules each in a 2+1+1 configuration. Only Registered (RDIMM) memory modules are supported and operate at speeds of up to 2400MHz.
Supported drive configurations on the HPE DL160 Gen10 server include 4 x 3.5-inch drives or 8 x 2.5-inch drive. A micro SD card slot on the motherboard, towards the back of the system, provides storage for a hypervisor. SATA HDDs and SSDs are supported natively with three SATA ports on the system board. For SAS or NVMe HDD or SSD drive support, you will need an optional SmartArray RAID controller offering transfer speeds of up to 12Gb/s
