Overview
Apart from the current 11 variants of Ace family, Tata has unveiled a new Ace variant in its fleet called Ace MegaXL offering even wider options to buyers while making purchase of a Tata pick-up. There is no doubt in the fact that Tata Motors is one the Indian market leader with number of options available under each category.
To be launched soon, Ace MegaXL has best-in-class features on both in-side and outside the cabin, faster turn around time, cheeky turning radius, power steering and effective mileage of 17.9 km/l to ensure higher profits for business owners.

Engine and Performance
Boosted by 2-Cylinder 800 cc Common Rail Direct Injection TCIC Diesel engine, Ace MegaXL produces decent power of 40.2 hp @ 3,750 rpm and handy peak torque of 100 Nm @ 1,700 - 2,000 rpm. The range and amount of torque generated are very impressive for a Light Commercial Vehicle like Ace MegaXL and could be very useful in hilly areas where the requirement of these two numbers is a must.
Also, its Synchromesh 6-Speed Forward transmission gearbox and Sliding mesh reverse gear alongside Single Plate Dry Friction Diaphragm type clutch helps Ace MegaXL to hit a top speed of 80 km/h on highways.
Vehicle Built and Load Capacity
Ace MegaXL is the only variant with tweaked model name having the wheelbase of 2,250 mm. With overall length of 4,075 mm and 1,594 mm width, this mini truck comes with load body dimensions of 2,450 x 1,430 x 300 mm in Length x Width x Height mm sequence. The length of cargo body is relatively longer than Ace family hence the name XL for this Ace Mega version.
The truck could lift Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to 2,250 kg having kerb weight of 1,110 kg and payload of 990 kg. It 30 Litre Fuel Tank too makes Ace MegaXL to go relatively longer distance than its contemporaries.
Handling and Suspension
With power-assisted hydraulic rack and pinion 380 mm diameter steering, its butter like smooth to maneuver the truck on any given surface. The suspension unit comprising of ILeaf Springs at both front and rear with Anti Roll bar at front does a good job by offering a bump free drive.
Braking and Safety
Ensuring the safety of its passengers while on ride, Tata has packed Ace MegaXL with front disc and rear drum brakes to buy driver enough time to stop it at various speed levels. Extra safety has been checked with the features like seat belt, separate parking brakes, crash tested cabin, tubeless tyres, and lab tested material. The addition of Antilock Braking System (ABS) has also improved the safety by all accounts.
Design and Comfort
Talking about aesthetics part, Ace MegaXL is ahead of rest of the Tata Ace family with newly designed headlamps, tweaked front grille, bright colors and overall aerodynamic body.
