Ditton DCA-5 power amplifier, British made

A rare opportunity to own a piece of hi-end HIFI history.British made Ditton DCA-5, 5 channel power amplifier
represents what can be achieved by a small dedicated company of engineers.

Not to be confused with the Celestion Ditton speakers, this amplifier was built in the UK by a small company in Ditton
and aimed at the high-end home cinema market. With gold plated posts and outputting solid 5 X 80W per channel with
all channels driven or 160W per channel in bridge mode stereo the quality of the amp is quite something, more dynamics,
more muscle and clean power. This beast can literally shake your house as it is doing now mine (spouse didn't like, your
neighbours also will not), my window glasses may not last long.

It was sold for more than thousand pounds when new, a testament to the components used in it’s construction. It’s is big
and heavy. You will be surpised to see that this powerhouse remains cold even after continuous running for 2 hours,
a big plus.

I purchased the amp several years ago in UK.You are less likely to find much information on the amp on the web as like the
company. There are bits and pieces of information still available but what I do know is that in the right setup the amp
will make you smile. Currently I am using it with my Onkyo TX-NR709. There was a marked improvement in sound quality when
I added this monster to my system.
Reason of selling: Colour (unfortunately), rest of my setup is black. I need to find similar kit in black.
